Wayne Hundley...Singer...Song Writer...Author

Vocalist Wayne Hundley fronted his 1st paying band job in 1967 at the age of 15 during a “Battle of the Bands” at St. Gabriel in Fern Creek Kentucky. His band, “The Original 4”, won the band battle (And the $25 prize!), mostly because the other group only knew one song, “Gloria”, & his group had more friends willing to stuff the ballot box. It didn’t matter. Once he took his $5 share of the prize he had found the best possible way to make money. Over the next few years he played all over the Louisville area with many local groups, along the way adding Keyboards to his resume.

In 1976 Wayne & his B3 landed in “The Fanatics”, one of Louisville’s most enduring & successful bands. For the next 14 years he played regionally at hundreds of dances, proms, concerts, & clubs such as “City Lights”, “Golden Horseshoe, & “The Phoenix Hill Tavern”, & appeared with, or backed up, artist such as “Bo Diddley”, “Chubby Checker”, “Grass Roots”, & many others.

After leaving...

After leaving “The Fanatics” Wayne joined legendary Louisville group “The Sultans” for a time before coming out from behind his keyboards in 1995 to, along with the distinctive tenor voice of Alan Watson, provide the soulful lead vocals for the very successful “Tymes Band”. As a member of the group he wrote 6 of the original songs on their CD “Never Had a Clue”, became an author with his novel “Good & Evil & Charlie Rabbit”, & has had his musical aspirations come true as a member of the high powered Louisville based Rhythm & Blues horn group “The Tymes Band”.
